We are available to answer questions and concerns. Please voluntarily register your new business with the Tazewell County Commissioner of Revenue’s office. This registration is not the same as required by state and federal governments, there are no fees involved.

Once you have a draft of your business plan, the Virginia Small Business Development Center (SBDC) network can help you improve it.
Register Your Business Name
To obtain forms and file for a factitious name for your business please contact the Tazewell County Circuit Court Clerk’s office at: (276) 385-1222 or go to https://sccefile.scc.virginia.gov/NameAvailability
Tazewell County Does Not Have a Business License, however if your business is located within one of the towns listed below you will need to contact that town because towns in Tazewell County do require a Business License:
